Editing a creative

Editing in Nomi is not moving things around a file. You point at a spot on the finished ad, say what should be different there, and the picture is drawn again with that change in it.

Opening the editor

Click any creative in the Library or on a session's canvas, or use Edit in its menu. A creative whose session was deleted has nowhere to open, and its card says so.

Saying what should change

Comment is armed the moment the editor opens, so your first press already does something.

  1. Point at the spot

Click the picture to mark a point, or drag to ring a region. A marker lands where you pointed, with its note field already open.

  2. Say what you want

Write it the way you would tell a designer: "make this headline shorter", "warmer light here". You can attach a picture to a comment too, which is how you say "like this". One render carries four at most.

  3. Add as many as you need

Every comment lands as a row in the rail on the right, with what you asked and any picture you attached. Remove one, or clear the lot with Reset.

  4. Render

Render, bottom right, is the only control here that spends anything, and it states its price before you press it.

Draw is the other way to point: pick it from the chevron beside Comment and mark the picture in ink, in any colour. Select and the hand sit in the same menu, when you only want to look around; V is the cursor from anywhere.

A marker you never wrote anything into is not an edit and does not survive: click somewhere else and it goes, so a stray press costs nothing.

What one edit costs

A render costs 3 credits, whether one comment is queued or six. Queue everything you noticed, then press once.

Remove background, in the toolbar under the picture, is a separate 3 credits and always asks first. Resizing and localising are 6 each, and have their own pages.

What comes back

A new version, in the strip down the left of the canvas. The picture you started from stays exactly as it was, so nothing you liked is at risk. Click a thumbnail to move between versions; the arrows at the top step through the other creatives from the same session.

Undo and redo cover everything you queue, and cost nothing. A finished render is a version rather than an undo step, so it cannot be taken back that way.

There are no layers to open and no way to add a new line of text. The editor asks for the picture again; it does not take it apart.
