Radar
Reading a competitor page
What a brand's page shows, from how much it launches to how its ads open.
Last updated 21 October 2026
Open an advertiser from Advertisers, or a brand under Following in Radar's sidebar. Under a followed brand the sidebar lists its sections: Overview, Creative Strategy, Hooks and Ads. Overview carries the brand's name, its Facebook likes and Instagram followers where Nomi has them, the countries Nomi collected its ads in and when Nomi last read it, with Follow or Following at the right and a three-dot menu that copies the page's link or opens the brand's Meta Ad Library.
Overview
The four figures cover every ad Nomi holds for the brand: how many still run, how many it launched in the last thirty days, its longest active run and how many different opening lines its ads use. Press a figure to open what it counts. Media Mix splits the ads by format, and Ads Launched charts launches over the last 30 or 90 days, this year or all time.
Against Your Ads sits under the charts once Nomi knows your own Facebook page, which setup finds through your site and follows for you. It sets their ads beside yours and shows only the differences big enough to matter: their longest-running ad against yours, how many ads each of you launched in the last thirty days, how often each of you opens an ad on a question, and how much of each library is video. Open Ad opens their longest-running ad, View Ads opens the ads behind a row, and Ask Nomi opens a new session with both figures written into the request. On your own brand's page, or with nothing big enough to say, the card is not there.
Creative Strategy and Hooks preview their sections, each with the ads behind a row, and View All opens the section. Landing Pages lists where the ads send people, how many ads point at each page and how many of those still run: the arrow opens the page itself, View Ads the ads behind it. A row of their ads closes the page, and its View All opens the whole grid.
Creative Strategy
Nomi reads every distinct ad the brand runs, long runners first, and writes down its strategy: Positioning, what the brand sells the product as, then the three Angles behind most of its ads, then how the ads make the promise believable and what they offer, where they do. On a wide screen each angle has its own card on the left, with Positioning, Proof and Offer in a column on the right; on a phone they stack, Positioning first and Proof and Offer after the angles. Each angle shows how many of their ads carry it, its share of all their ads, how many still run and the longest run, a word-for-word line from one of the ads in a blue note, and the ads themselves: press one to open it, or View Ads for all of them. Use This Angle starts a new session asking Nomi for three ads for your brand on the same angle, with your own product, claims and proof. A line Nomi cannot find in an ad is left out, and an angle no ad carries is not shown.
The first visit to a brand reads it, which takes under a minute and is charged to your brand's credits like any ad analysis; the page says Reading meanwhile. The read is kept for everyone after you, and read again once the brand has run many more ads or a month has passed. If a read fails, Try Again starts it over. A view-only member sees a kept read but does not start one.
Hooks
Every first line of their copy, most used or longest running first, from the dropdown beside the title. Each card shows how many of their ads open with it, its longest run and the ads themselves. View Ads opens those ads, and the card's three-dot menu holds Write Hooks Like This, which starts a new session asking Nomi for hooks for your brand that work the way this one does.
Ads
Ads by the brand is every ad Nomi holds for it, anything new to you first, in the cards and filters of Radar's own Ads. Network, Running For, Format, Market and the order sit beside the title, and the filter button holds the rest of the filters and the column count, up to four. What you pressed on another section shows as one more filter in that row; clear it to see everything again.
Pressing a card opens the ad in place of the page: days running, versions, EU reach where Meta publishes it, its copy and its platforms. Open in Ad Library goes to Meta's record of it.
Nothing is spent until you press Send, so asking Nomi about a hook or a difference from your own ads costs nothing to open.
