Keyboard shortcuts

Nomi listens for a short list of keys, and all of them are here. Where a row says mod, press Command on a Mac and Control everywhere else.

Anywhere in the app

These work on every screen, whatever you are looking at.

Open search
Start a new session
Show or hide the sidebar
Go to the Library
Go to Discovery

New session is O, not N. Command + Shift + N is the browser's own private window and never reaches the page, so the app cannot use it.

Search is also where the five above are written down, so you can run any of them by pointing instead of remembering.

Writing a message

Send the message
Start a new line

Typing @ opens a short list of what is already on the message. While that list is up it owns the keys, so Enter completes a name instead of sending.

When Nomi asks you something

Questions and proposals arrive on a card inside the conversation, and the card takes the keyboard as it appears.

Confirm, or send the answer you picked

Move up the answers
Pick the highlighted answer

Escape steps out of a card, it never answers one. Confirm and Decline stay on their buttons, because declining a proposal throws the job away.

Editing a creative

Undo
Redo
Apply your edits
Recentre the picture
Zoom in
Zoom out

Zoom is taken from the browser here: inside the editor those keys mean the picture, not the page.

Undo and redo keep working while you type a note on the picture or rewrite a text layer, because that typing is part of the edit. In the message field below they belong to the field, so your own writing is never undone by a keystroke meant for the canvas.

Escape closes whatever panel or dialog is open, in the editor and everywhere else.
